Hospitality Rotary & Lions Dinners


​On Tuesday 9 and 23 August, Hospitality students hosted the Home Hill Lions and Rotary Clubs for their annual dinner meetings.  Students researched and experimented with a number of soups, main meals and desserts to come up with the perfect menu.

Hospitality students have recently completed their bar course and were able to put their service skills to good use.  The clients were overwhelmed by the wide choice of menu items.  The Creamy Chicken and Zucchini Soup was very popular, as was the Jamie Oliver Spiced Lamb Shanks.  An amazing array of desserts including Lemon Curd Pavlova Cake and Passionfruit and White Chocolate Panacotta were very well received.  Overall the students performed outstandingly with their preparation techniques and gained valuable experience with table service.  We would like to thank the Rotary and Lions Clubs for giving this opportunity each year to serve paying guests in a real life situation. Thanks must also go to Mrs Lewty, Mrs Lipsys, Mrs Musumeci and Mrs Williams who ably assisted Mrs Kerr, ensuring the events were successful.
