Swimming Carival

2014 Age champions

Home Hill High held its Interhouse swimming carnival on Friday 21 February.  As usual, the captains chose a theme for their house.  This year Beachmount’s theme was Bathtime, Upstart’s was King Neptune’s Kingdom and the Little Mermaid and Inkerman’s theme was Tropical Friday. The swimming carnival was a massive success with many students participating at their highest level; one record was broken for the day - Congratulations Dana Falco!

After a very rainy and damp day the final points were in and it was said to be one of the closest swimming carnivals in 10 years. Inkerman pulling up the reins in 3rd place with a points total of 463, Beachmount in 2nd place with a score of 708, which leaves Upstart as the winning team with a total of 727 points. Congratulations UPSTART!

Thanks to Miss Allyce Murphy for organising the day and the other teachers for all their help.  Thanks also to the managers at the Home Hill Pool – Peter & Sharron and the Home Hill Swimming Club for letting us use their equipment.
