The Interhouse swimming carnival was held on Friday 3 March at the Home Hill Pool. Parents, staff and students all enjoyed a fantastic day.
There was the usual riot of colour as everyone turned up in their house theme. Beachmountians turned into Bandits, Inkerman wore the Green and Gold for Aussie Sports and Upstart came dressed as their favourite Occupations.
The swimming carnival was a great success with many students participating at their highest level and the points relay was a favourite with staff and students, a welcome chance to cool down!
The winning house, for the second year running was Inkerman with 683 points! House captains Morgan Leard-Lamont and Tilly Colls, enthusiastically accepted the trophy. Upstart was second with 590 points, while Beachmount finished third on 424.
We have to thank all the staff who assisted in organising and running the carnival. Also, a big thanks go to the managers at the Home Hill Pool – Lloyd and Lisa Shepherd and the Home Hill Swimming Club for letting us use their equipment, the Year 12s and many other students, along with all staff who assisted on the day and helped with setting up and cleaning up afterwards. It was a fantastic team effort.
