Home Hill State High School prides itself on the excellent reputation it has earned over the last 50 years in education. The school has implemented a number of policies to ensure the smooth running of our school and the good conduct of our student body.
Please refer to the related links on the right for major school policies.
NOTE:
In
line with the ‘New QCE’ senior studies implementation schools are required to
ensure their school policies are updated to reflect this new reality. For
students one of the most important of these documents is the school’s
Assessment Policy.
Home
Hill SHS has now updated its Assessment Policy to ensure that there is
consistent application of the assessment policy in line with these changes, and
ensure that staff and students optimise opportunities to understand and comply
with the requirements in that new policy.
The
‘new’ assessment policy, which covers all year levels, came into force
from the beginning of Semester 2, 2019.
This
new policy provides information for teachers, students and parents/carers about
roles, responsibilities, processes and procedures to ensure the integrity of
assessment that contributes to the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
The framework for the policy is developed from the QCE and QCIA policy and
procedures handbook available from www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/senior/certificates-and-qualifications/qce-qcia-handbook-2019 and applies to Applied, Applied (Essential), General, General (Extension)
subjects, and Short Courses across all faculties.
