The Guidance Officer, Mrs Tanya Munro, provides guidance, counselling and student support in a variety of educational settings. Her role includes:-
Assessment and verification of students with disabilities and learning difficulties.
Career counselling and the provision of information which will enhance the effectiveness of career decision making.
Academic support for students with regard to subject selection, study skills, time management and assessment.
Assisting students with personal, family and school related issues.
Supporting students, staff and families to ensure quality educational, personal and career outcomes.
Mrs Munro is at Home Hill High every Monday (all day) and Thursday from 12pm. Students and parents can make appointments to see the Guidance Officer through the school office.
Home Hill SHS also has a dedicated careers website that aims is to provide students with all the latest information that will help them make decisions about future careers and life beyond school.
