At HHSHS, our Agricultural Department is dedicated to providing students with hands-on learning experiences that blend academic knowledge with real-world application. We offer a range of Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses, designed to give students practical skills that are highly valued in the agricultural industry.
Throughout the year, our students engage in a variety of exciting and educational events, both in and out of the classroom. From managing our aquaponics system to raising yabbies (freshwater crayfish), students gain valuable insight into sustainable farming practices. Our involvement in community events such as the Burdekin Show provides students with the opportunity to showcase their agricultural projects and connect with industry professionals.
