On Thursday 18 March 2021, Home Hill High school marked Bullying No Way Day through a variety of activities. Students and staff dressed in orange to show their support and joined support staff in creating a "Tree of Kindness" Display.
At second break, students were treated to orange pancakes cooked by our caring support staff to encourage connectedness with others. In addition, all students participated in a targeted anti-bullying lesson from the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence organisation.
This day as well as the high school's on-going wellbeing program provided students with the tools to identify and report bullying as well as providing them with information on how to seek help/support if they are experiencing bullying. It also empowered students with strategies as to what they can do if they see someone being bullied - how to move from being a bystander to an upstander.
