On Thursday 16 May, at the Brothers Leagues Club in Kirwan, Townsville, nine of our Year 9's represented our school at the Y-Lead Altitude Day.
Luke Blacklock, Samantha Kelly, Kalen Linton, Zaine Palmer, Rowen Petersen, Jack Srisoongnoen, Alex Swinney, Cheyenne Worland and Lucy Young.
Students were encouraged to Leap into Leadership. Leap was used as an acronym for Leaning into opportunities, having the Energy to engage, being Authentically themselves and Pursuing their impact at school and in life.
Throughout the day, they listened to a series of guest speakers, activities and challenges. We are very proud of our students for participating actively and giving everything 110%, from asking and answering questions, to squats, to a picture challenge. We have great leadership potential for our school's future in these students and many more.
