On Sunday 5 June, we had a wonderful group of students, parents and teachers who gave up their Sunday morning to venture into the community, in order to doorknock and raise money for the Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal. They were the absolute pride of our school in the way that they conducted themselves in public and raised a total of $953.35. Our year 9s were absolutely amazing, raising just over $200 in their own right, followed by our year 12s, who raised $174.
Many thanks to Mrs Bugeja, Mr Ross, Mrs Machin, Mrs Wilkie (Nurse Sue), Mrs Loizou and Mrs Young for helping out on the day, to Mrs Grimbaldeston from the Bendigo Bank for counting the monies raised and Major Garry Johnson from the Salvation Army for providing refreshments afterwards. Finally, a special thank you to Miss Fritsch, for running the event.
